Sri raagam, once anybody mentions, people immediately think of “Entharo Mahanu Bhava”, the last and the most moving piece in Thyagaraja’s Pancharatnam.I have savoured listenng to this Raagam, which has a mesmerising effect on the listener. A pall of peace descends on singing the Raagam.
Last week, heard TM Krishna singing the ever green Shri Varalaksmi Namasthubhyam. Enjoyed the piece. The Raagam is such that it adds a grandeur to the Kritis in it. Be it, “Entharo Mahanubhavulu”, “Shri Varalakshmi” or “Shri Kamalambike “, the Raagam abounds in its beauty.
Very True…Sri raagam is an amazing ghana raagam..
Endharo Mahaanubaavulu is a masterpiece in this raagam..though dikshithars shrikamalaambike has her own beauty
